Antony Blinken, Deputy National Security Adviser to President Barack Obama, met Sharif's Special Adviser on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi this week.
During the meeting, the two officials reaffirmed the two countries' commitment to strengthening the US-Pakistan relationship and advancing shared interests in a stable, secure, and prosperous Pakistan, said Laura Lucas Magnuson, spokesperson National Security Council at the White House.
"They discussed a range of issues, to include ways to enhance counter-terrorism cooperation, promote peace and stability throughout the region, and advance our common objectives," Magnuson said.
