Senior Superintendent of Police Rao Anwar said that the militants had clashed with security forces when they raided the Jamali Goth area of Karachi. He said the terrorists had fired rockets on the raiding party.

Police also claimed to have seized weapons and explosives in the raid.
"More than 400 policemen have been carrying out an operation in the city," the SSP said.
