Pal gets additional charge of Secretary, Dept of Fertilizers

Chemicals and Petrochemicals Secretary Indrajit Pal has been given additional charge of Department of Fertilizers (DoF).

Pal, a 1977 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, will hold the charge as Secretary of DoF for three months or until further orders, a release issued today by Ministry of Personnel said.

The move came after repatriation of Rajiv Mehrishi to his parent cadre Rajasthan.

Mehrishi, a 1978 batch IAS officer, was Secretary, Department of Fertilizers.

P K Malhotra, Secretary in Legislative Department under Ministry of Law and Justice has been assigned additional charge of Department of Legal Affairs (DLA).

Malhotra will also hold the charge as Secretary of DLA for three months or until further orders, it said.

The government has also issued orders for repatriation of S C Garg, a 1983 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre.

Garg, who is now Additional Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat, has been repatriated to his parent cadre Rajasthan, the release said.
