Panasonic India is targetting a sales turnover of Rs 150 crore from Kerala during the upcoming Onam festival as against Rs 100 crore clocked last year.
Unveiling the festival launch, company Managing Director Manish Sharma said Panasonic was aiming to increase its total market share in Kerala to 15 per cent.
Onam is on September 7 this year.
Its current market share for air conditioners was 12 per cent and flat TVs 14 per cent, he added.
Panasonic India has rolled out Onam special schemes for the consumers from Augst 1 and will be valid through till September 10.
Sharma said presently the country contributed only two per cent of Panasonic's global revenues while 50 per cent was from the Japanese market.
The company was aiming to make Panasonic the most trusted brand in India and would be focusing on housing space and personal care products.
With Panasonic New Executive Vice President Yoshihiko Yamada, being stationed in India from April this year to accelerate business opportunities, the country had become the second headquarter of the company catering to entire Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
The company, which has started exporting air-conditioners and Washign machines to Nepal and Sri lanka has plans to export to Middle East and African countries.
Panasonic, which has launched over 12 smartphone models, last week unveiled 'Eluga' costing Rs 19,000. India was a hub for smartphones, he said.
Panasonic makes available in India its wide range of consumer electronics, home appliances like LCD and plasma televisions, DVD players, home theatre systems, smart phones, camera, ACs, washing machines among others.
