The government had constituted a committee headed by Prabhat Kumar, Ex-Cabinet Secretary and the former Governor of Jharkhand, to make recommendations on a national policy of MSMEs in January this year.
"It was a meeting with industry associations and they have been requested to submit their views and suggestions soon," Development Commissioner (MSME) Surendra Nath Tripathi told PTI.
The committee is expected to submit its comprehensive recommendations to the MSME Ministry by June.
The National Policy is required to synergise with the policies of state governments as development of MSMEs is essentially a state subject.
