Pankaj Singh, who is also the son of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, met the detained party workers yesterday.
The BJP workers were taken into custody last week after the police tried to stop them from holding a mahapanchayat over the removal of a loudspeaker from a temple.
Speaking to reporters outside the Moradabad Jail, he alleged that the detained party workers had been manhandled and that their condition was worse than the other inmates.
"Our agitation will continue till the police involved officers are punished and all the 32 agitators are released," Singh said.
Claiming that the BJP workers were innocent, he alleged that the BJP workers were detained before the agitation.
