Jamwal and his supporters joined the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the BJP's youth wing, at the party's headquarters in the city, state BJYM president Ravinder Raina said.
Raina said Jamwal had been appointed as secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir BJYM.
Soon after his induction, Jamwal said the BJP is the only party with a clear vision and nation-centric ideology.
