Panun Kashmir today submitted a complaint to NHRC alleging that the Jammu and Kashmir government had failed to deal with communal clashes in Kishtwar district, in which two persons were killed.
"Panun Kashmir has registered a formal complaint with the National Human Rights Commission about the Kishtwar communal clashes," Panun Kashmir President Ashwani Chrungoo said tonight.
He said the organisation representing displaced Kashmiri Pandits has been championing the cause of minority rights, human rights and civil liberties of the minorities of the state.
He claimed that the state administration had failed in its duty to prevent the violence.
