According to an official release, Gogoi asked Bhattacharya for necessary recommendations for police modernisation in the state.
"The Chairman also said that he would make necessary recommendation for a security hub in Guwahati considering the city being the nerve centre of the entire North East," it added.
Several other important issues like subsidy for industrial set-ups in Assam came up during the meeting, the statement said.
