Parents sending daughters for nursing jobs should be ap'ciated
Press Trust of India Coimbatore Parents who send their daughters to pursue nursing jobs should be appreciated as it is considered a noble profession, Dr Josephine Little Flower, Nursing Advisor, Government of India, said here today.
"The profession is such that only women have the commitment and dedication to serve patients, despite social and family pressures. Parents of such nurses should be appreciated for sending their wards to take this profession," she said.
She was speaking after giving away degrees to the first batch of 25 nursing graduates from the Gem Institute of Nursing Education and Research here.
Josephine also handed over the best outgoing student medal to Chinnu V Ulahannan, the all round topper.
Chief Education Officer, Coimbatore, Gnanagowri felicitated the graduates.
