The city received traces of rainfall till 8.30 AM today.
The day's maximum temperature at Safdarjung observatory, considered the official reading of the city, settled at 35.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded two notches below normal, at 26.2 degrees Celsius, said a MeT department official.
Humidity oscillated between 78 and 45 per cent.
The MeT department has predicted overcast conditions along with the possibility of one or two spells of light rain or thundershower in some areas till 5.30 PM tomorrow.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle at 36 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively," the MeT forecast said.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperature had settled at 39 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
