The programme on Wednesday is being organised under the banner of "Pashupati Sangeet Sandhya" and will feature prominent artists from Nepal and India.
Pashupatinath Temple, which is situated at the bank of Bagmati river in Kathmandu, attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year from both Nepal and India. The temple is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.
"There will be Ganesh vandana, Shiva tandav dance, devotional song, Bharatnatayam, sitar, tabla and flute at the one and a half hour programme," according to the authorities at Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) that manages the temple's affairs.
"The amount generated by the musical programme will be utilised for the development of the temple area and for providing different facilities to the tourists visiting the temple," he said.
"Our main aim is to promote pilgrimage tourism and to popularise Pashupatinath temple among international Hindu visitors," said Tandan.
