Passengers of luxury bus looted by dacoits on highway

Passengers travelling by a luxury bus from Gujarat to Mumbai were looted late last night on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, the police said here today.
Palghar's District Superintendent of Police Suvez Haque told PTI that three unidentified people entered the bus at Tawa village and looted passengers to the tune of Rs 3.54 lakh including their ornaments and cash.
An offence under Section 392 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at the Kasa police station and a hunt is on for the dacoits, he said.
