: Four people, including a patient, were killed and as many injured when a speeding car rammed into an ambulance here early Friday, police said.
The ambulance was going to Ballary district in Karnataka from Eluru in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh after treatment of Venkateswar when the collision took place, a police press release said here.
Venkateswar Rao (60) and his wife Subba Laxmi died on the spot while the ambulance driver was declared brought dead at a hospital while Rao's brother Rama Rao succumbed while undergoing treatment, the release said.
Venkatewar's son, brother-in-law, the assistant driver of the ambulance and the car driver got injured, it said.
