According to the MeT bulletin, the state capital witnessed a minimum temperature of 13.2 degrees Celsius which is 4 degrees Celsius above from normal minimum temperature.
The capital's maximum temperature was recorded at 22.4 degrees Celsius which is almost equal to normal maximum temperature, it said.
Both maximum and minimum are expected to be around 22 and 13 degrees Celsius respectively, tomorrow in the state capital, the official said.
Explaining the reason for increase in temperature across the state, the weathermen said that easterly wave coupled with easterly wind have created a moisture that has caused an increase in both maximum and minimum temperature across the state.
The weather across the state is expected to witness dense to very dense foggy morning at various places with the possibility of an increase in minimum temperature from normal besides a good sunshine after 11:00 AM or 12 noon in next 3-4 days, the MeT office said.
Bhagalpur had a minimum of 13.3 degrees Celsius and maximum of 21 degrees Celsius which is one degree below its maximum temperature.
Purnea registered a minimum of 13.1 degrees Celsius which is four degree Celsius above its normal minimum temperature while its maximum of 25.2 degrees Celsius which is two degree above its normal maximum temperature.
The lowest temperature of 9 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sabour in Bhagalpur district and Chapra, the district headquarters town of Saran district, the MeT office said.
