Sukhiram Sahu (57), posted at Sitapar village under Palari tehsil, was caught red-handed while accepting bribe from the complainant Omprakash Singh Thakur for providing land-related documents, an ACB official told PTI.
Thakur wanted to sell one acre of his ancestral land for which he needed B-1 'khasra' and land map documents.
Sahu demanded Rs 17,000 for providing the documents and took Rs 2,000, asking Thakur to come with the rest of amount to his office-cum-residence at Balodabazar today.
As Thakur lodged a complaint with ACB, a trap was laid at Sahu's house and he was arrested today.
