PaySense raises $5.3mn from Jungle Ventures, NVP and Naspers

Digital credit platform PaySense today said it has raised USD 5.3 million (over Rs 34 crore) funding led by Jungle Ventures.
The series A round also saw participation from Naspers Group and Nexus Venture Partners, PaySense said in a statement.
The company had previously raised USD 2.3 million, led by Nexus Venture Partners and prominent global angels.

POPxo partners Ola Play to offer premium content * POPxo, a digital community for women, has partnered Ola to offer premium content on the cab aggregator's connected car platform - Ola Play.
Under the partnership, Ola users can watch content produced by POPxo on Ola Play, a statement said.

PoPxo has produced and published over 1,000 videos to- date and adds about 75 videos every month. It offers content around fashion tips, beauty how-tos and comedy capsules, especially targetted at women.

ShopClues partners Ministry of Textiles * E-commerce company ShopClues today said it has partnered with Ministry of Textiles for its '#CottonIsCool' campaign to promote use of cotton products.
"ShopClues, under the initiative, has created a special #CottonIsCool page which will be active from 17th-20th May, 2017. Consumers using coupon code 'cottoniscool' will be offered a 10 per cent discount on existing cotton products," ShopClues said in a statement.

Previously, ShopClues had partnered with the Central Cottage Emporium and National Handloom Development Corporation to promote handcrafted, regional, and handloom products on the platform.

TCS partners Qualcomm,FHI 360 for soln for Senegal fisheries * Tata Consultancy Services has partnered with chipmaker Qualcomm and FHI 360 to implement a digital solution using wireless technologies, designed for the fishing community in Senegal.
In Senegal, 90 per cent of the fishing is done by artisanal fishers who sell to either wholesale fish markets or to small scale women entrepreneurs that process and sell the fish to wholesalers.
The goal of the Wireless Reach-funded WISE programme is to empower these fishers and women entrepreneurs with a solution, a statement said.

HCL Tech partners Duck Creek Technologies * IT firm HCL Technologies has joined the Duck Creek Global Alliance Programme, under which it will provide customers with application maintenance and technical support solutions.
This will help them reduce time, risk, and costs during implementation of solutions and throughout the lifecycle of the deployed software, HCL said in a statement.
No financial details of the partnership were disclosed.
