Pb: BSF SI commits suicide by jumping in front of train

A BSF Sub-Inspector allegedly committed suicide today by jumping in front of a train here, the Government Railway Police said.
Sarabjit Singh, who was posted in Jalalabad, had come here to take part in a function at the frontier headquarters, they said.
A resident of Patiala district, Singh jumped before the train at the Jalandhar Cantt Station this afternoon. His body has been kept at the Sadar Hospital and the post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow, the GRP said.
Singh's family members have been informed and further investigations will be taken up once their statements are recorded, they said
It cannot be declared as a case of suicide yet, the GRP said.
The BSF's Punjab Frontier spokesperson and DIG could not be reached for comments.
