The offer of 66 per cent subsidy on solar inverters would enable the beneficiaries get the solar kit at Rs 17,290 (originally priced at Rs 51,040), inclusive of upkeep and maintenance for five years, an official spokesperson of Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) said.
The Solar Inverter kit consists of 300 Watts Solar Panel, 12 Volt-150 Gel battery and 500 Volts inverter, he said.
Solar inverters are more viable and economical compared to common inverters used in residential or commercial establishments, the spokesperson added.
