Ruling PDP in Jammu and Kashmir today accused the previous NC-Congress coalition for the "administrative mess and financial liabilities" and said the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed-led government is on the right track to put the system back on the rails at the earliest.
"The administrative mess and financial liabilities are a backlog of NC-Congress coalition which will be over soon through visionary planning, better management and control," PDP general secretary Nizamuddin Bhat said while addressing a day-long convention of party delegates at Baramulla in north Kashmir.
He said thousands of regular employees, daily rated workers, casual labour and adhoc appointees in various departments are without salaries and wages for months together as "the government is grappling with the crisis created through corruption, callousness and appeasement for petty political ends by the previous regime".
"The government is focused to resolve this crisis at the earliest and put the system back on the rails," he said.
Bhat said similarly development projects were on hold and infrastructure was in shambles when Sayeed took over as Chief Minister about three months back.
"Sayeed has undertaken extensive tour conducting a review of various departments across J&K to personally see that the derailed system is activated for larger public purposes without further sufferings and agony.
"His personal interest and supervision has lent a direction to the administration and has given a flip to developmental activities setting a healthy trend," the PDP leader said.
