Principal Accountant General Mohinder Singh said that the pensioners should ensure that minimum monthly basic pension or family pension disbursed to them was Rs 1,275 from January 1, 1996 onwards and Rs 3,500 from January 1, 2006 onwards.
Singh, according to a Haryana government release here today, said that a special initiative was taken to depute officers to visit treasuries and banks situated at Chandigarh and Panchkula and scrutinise the records relating to payments of pension and family pension available there and records sent by them to office of Principal Accountant General (A and E).
He further said that in two cases, revision due on January 1, 1996 was not done by treasuries and banks.
He said that in 67 cases, pension and family pension was revised by the office but treasuries and banks continued to pay the same at pre revised rates.
