BJP West Bengal president Dilip Ghosh today stoked a controversy by allegedly saying that "anybody ranting Pakistan Zindabad do not have any place in the country".
"Anybody ranting Pakistan Zindabad do not have any place in this country," he said.
"We know whatever treatment is required for such elements and BJP will never compromise on nationalism plank," Ghosh alleged while speaking at workers' meeting at Gopiballabhpur village in West Midnapore district.
He said that the party would wish to field candidates in all the seats in the coming assembly polls.
"We will give nominations to some who belong to our party, some celebrities from outside and some sympathizers from other parties. We will choose people from all these three categories and pit them in winnable seats for BJP, but wish to contest from all constituencies as well," Ghosh said.
Ghosh described ruling Trinamool Congress as a party, "filled with anti-socials and aiding terrorists."
"One of the TMC student activists had been accused of having links with SIMI in past while the party has been soft towards rapists making women of this state feel insecure. In Pingla there had been a bomb blast at a TMC leader's house but it was passed off as fire at a cracker unit in connivance with state police. This shows the state of affairs in TMC-run Bengal," he said.
