According to officials, power supply to the crematorium, located near a road-over-bridge in the city, has been "snapped until further notice," due to a 'massive' earthmoving work nearby to lay a service road.
The matter was resolved after some philanthropists offered to take the body for cremation at a different crematorium, about 15 km away, even as police and Revenue officials pacified the agitated protestors, who subsequently dispersed.
