People voted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to power, both at the Centre and the state, to build a grand Ram Temple at the very place where 'Ram Lalla' is installed presently in Ayodhya, Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das said today.

"Since long, the Hindu community has been waiting for the temple, hence the Ram Mandir should be built at the same place," Das said while on a visit here.

The construction of a grand temple in Ayodhya is a matter of faith for Hindus and there could be no compromise on this issue, he stressed.

"Ram Mandir will be built at the same place ... if this cannot happen in Modi- and Yogi-led governments, then the BJP would have to bear the brunt of public anger in the next Lok Sabha election," Das said.

The BJP is in power at both the Centre and the state, and the apex court has to take into consideration people's belief while delivering its verdict on the Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute, he said, adding, "if the Supreme Court orders otherwise, we will ask the Modi government to enact a law for the construction of the Ram temple.
