The 16-day exhibit was jointly launched by Ambassador of France to India Francois Richier and DMRC Managing Director Mangu Singh at Rajiv Chowk Metro station here and the photographs will be up for display till March 20.
The exhibition 'Film Industry: Then and Now' features a number of rare photographs- from silent, black and white era to contemporary cinema by Bartholomew, an internationally acclaimed photographer and Padma Shri awardee.
Calling metro facility a common ground between Paris and Delhi, the French Ambassador said "like Paris, metro is a part of everyday life of people in Delhi. It is important to adorn metro stations with contemporary art. Therefore, an exhibition like this is a contribution from France to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema.
