PIA pilot arrested at UK airport on suspicion of being drunk

A pilot believed to be working for Pakistan International Airlines has been arrested on suspicion of being drunk while in charge of a plane at a British airport.
West Yorkshire Police said the 54-year-old man was detained last night from the Leeds Bradford Airport.
Officers said the pilot, believed to work for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), is still in custody, the BBC reported.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "At about 10pm police were called to Leeds Bradford International Airport where they arrested an airline pilot on suspicion of carrying out an activity ancillary to an aviation function while impaired by drink.
A spokesman for Leeds Bradford Airport said: "We are aware of the incident but the matter is being dealt with by West Yorkshire Police.
