According to KABC, the local ABC affiliate, about 50 Los Angeles County firefighters responded to the blaze, which broke out around 9:48 pm on Wednesday in the former James Bond actor's garage.
No one was injured in the fire.
A distressed-looking Brosnan was pictured outside the house, which he shares with wife Keely Shaye Smith.
The fire was controlled before it spread to the main part of the house.
