Pilot said the government in its notification issued last month has limited the 25 per cent quota for BPL candidates only whereas it was open to all those having annual income up to Rs 2.5 lakh.
Pilot said the notification was against the spirit of the RTE Act.
He said this will have adverse impact and students from a large section who were eligible for securing admission in private schools under RTE will be deprived of their right due to the decision of the state government.
