Pistols, cartridges recovered from agriculture field, 5 held

A number of weapons and tools for making pistols and explosive powder were seized from an agriculture field near Porsa town in the district and five persons were arrested in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the spot and seized a single-shor 315 bore gun, a 315 bore country-made pistol, cartridges and tools for making weapons from a temporary shade in an agriculture field in Gidoli area, Porsa police station in-charge, Badam Singh said.
A man identified as Badam Sakhwar was nabbed from the site, while his five associates managed to flee from the site, the officer said.

Later, on basis of inputs provided by Sakhwar, four others were held while one person is still at large.
Police is investigating the case further to delve into the network of the gang.
