Chennai-based Pro-Kabaddi League team, Tamil Thalaivas today announced Edachery Bhaskaran as its coach for the upcoming season.
The former U Mumba coach will take over from Kasinatha Baskaran, who has been named Technical Director-Thalaivas' Strategic Grassroot Programme,a press release said.
India cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is among the co-owners of Tamil Thalaivas.
Bhaskaran, with a diploma in coaching from National Institute of Sports, has had stints as the national team coach.
He also led U Mumba to the PKL title in Season 2, the release said.
Tamil Thalaivas had recently retained the services of Ajay Thakur, Amit Hooda and C Arun for PKL season-6, beginning on October 19.
