"We have brought to the notice of state Election Commission the announcement made by Siddharth Kuncolienkar which is in violation of the code of conduct," North Goa Additional Collector Swapnil Naik told reporters.
The election to all 30 wards of CCP is scheduled on March 6 and counting of votes on March 8.
Kuncolienkar, who represents Panaji seat, had announced about the Central government's move to include Panaji in the list of cities under 'AMRUT' (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) scheme during campaigning.
"Kuncolienkar has said that the announcement was not intending to lure voters," hesaid.
Kuncolienkar had announced that Centre has sanctioned Rs 59.44 crore for Panaji under AMRUT action plan for 2015-16.
