Plan implementation registers growth in Kerala ???

: As much as 91 per cent of total Plan outlay had been utilised in Kerala during 2017-18 financial year, showing an increase of three per cent over the previous fiscal.

This was stated after a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here today.

An official statement said 91 per cent of the total plan outlay had been utilised during 2017-18 fiscal, against 88 per cent in? 2016-17 and 81 per cent in 2015-16.

Of the total Rs 26,500 crore plan outlay sanctioned for various projects of different departments, Rs 23,755 crore had been utilised during 2017-18, it said.

The progress of project implementation is reviewed by the Chief Minister every three months. The next meeting would be held in June, it said.

During the meeting, the Finance Department presented the plan expenditure of various departments.

Vijayan directed completion of all projects in a time-bound manner.

Besides the Chief Minister, chief secretary Paul Antony and principal secretary V S Senthil also took part in the meeting, the release added.
