Plastic factory gutted in city

A plastic factory situated on Rajdanga School Road in the Kasba police station area in south Kolkata was today gutted in a major fire.
City police and fire brigade sources said that nine fire tenders were pressed into service immediately after the incident to control the blaze.
There was no news of any casualty or injury.
The extent of damage or the cause of fire was yet to be ascertained, the sources said.
Steps were taken to prevent fire spreading to nearby residential buildings, they added.
