Pleasant weather in north India

Temperatures hovered around pleasant level in most parts of north India barring higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh where cold wave conditions prevailed, as the weather remained predominantly dry in the region today.
Delhiites experienced a pleasant day with temperatures settling around normal levels. According to MeT department officials, the maximum temperature was recorded a notch above the season's average at 31.8 degrees Celsius.
The minimum in the national capital settled two notches above the normal at 16.2 degrees Celsius. Night temperature rose marginally in Delhi and some other parts of north India.
According to a MeT forecast for Delhi, "The sky will remain mainly clear tomorrow, with mist and shallow fog in the morning with the maximum temperature expected to be 31 degrees Celsius and minimum 17 degrees."
In Himachal Pradesh too, mercury stayed mostly at normal level. Cold wave conditions gripped the higher reaches and tribal areas of the state.
Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla recorded a maximum temperature of 19.0 degrees Celsius, and the minimum settled at 10.2 degrees.
Western parts of Rajasthan experienced wintry conditions, while in some other parts of the state the mercury hovered a little above normal. Day temperature in Jaipur stood at 34.5 degrees and the minimum was 19.7 degrees Celsius.
Dry weather conditions would prevail in Uttar Pradesh and east Rajasthan in the next few days while a few parts of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh may witness isolated rain, According to the MeT department.
