Along with a commander of the People's Liberation Front of India, security forces had yesterday also arrested a member of its firing squad in Gumla district, police said today.
Vinay Gop, member of the Naxal outfit's firing squad, was arrested along with wanted commander Gulab Khatri, but police had yesterday revealed only Khatri's arrest.
"Vinay Gop was also arrested along with Khatri at Jorag forests by the CRPF and district police at Jorag forests yesterday," Superintendent of Police Bhimsen Tuti told reporters here.
Khatri was apprehended yesterday when a squad of security forces led by paramilitary CRPF along with state police was out for an operation in the Jorag forests in Raidih of the district.
Khatri, who had become a menace in the district, faced charges of 20 murders and extortion cases in the district, the police officer said.
A country-made pistol, some bullets and Rs 2000 were recovered from the arrested ultras, he said.
