A bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar directed the DCP (Traffic) of Delhi Police to file a report in response to the plea which has alleged inaction on the part of the Commissioner of Transport and the law enforcement agencies.
The court will hear the matter further on November 13.
The petition filed by Rashtriya Rajdhani Kshetra Tipahiya Chalak Union, through advocate Sanjeev Kumar, claimed that a numbers of private buses and vehicles, registered with the Uttar Pradesh government, enter Delhi through different entry points and carried passengers without having a proper permission or permit from the Delhi Government.
The petition has further alleged that all these buses run on diesel, which is a pollution hazard.
The plea claimed that plying of these vehicles was also depriving the autorickshaw drivers of their livelihood and the Delhi government was also facing a huge loss of revenue.
