PM positive on our demand of single autority in Delhi: Sisodia

AAP leader Manish Sisodia, who is all set to become Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is "positive" about a single authority running Delhi rather than multiple authorities like MCD, NDMC, central government and state government ruling it in bits and parts.
Earlier in the day, Delhi's chief minister designate Arvind Kejriwal accompanied by Sisodia met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence.
"The main discussion with the PM was about Delhi where we requested him that the lives of people which are run in bits and parts by different agencies like MCD, NDMC, central government and state government should be unified and be brought under a single authority.

"I think the PM is positive about the matter. This will help in making lives of the people of the state much more easier," Sisodia told the media.
He said that the demand of full statehood for Delhi was also raised with the PM but there was no concrete aasurance.
"We requested the Prime Minister that you are busy with the whole country and you also have to look into matters of the international affairs, so you should give the responsiblity of running Delhi to the state government which is going to be formed," he said.
When he was asked about the new equation between the party leaders and the central government, he said "we went to them as Home Minister, Prime Minister and not as BJP leaders. We went there not on the behalf of AAP but on the behalf of the people of Delhi who has given us this kind of a mandate.
