The nomination titled 'Excellence in Rural Management and Development in Challenging Physical Environment of the Sikkim Himalaya' was selected from amongst 128 contenders from all over the country, official sources said today.
The nomination highlighted the initiatives related to MGNREGA, Climate Change Adaptation under MGNREGA, Chief Minister's Rural Housing Mission (CMRHM), Siddhesvara Dham Pilgrimage Complex, Empowerment of Panchayati Raj Institutions, Sanitation and Village Development Action Plan (VDAP) in Sikkim state over the last few years, the sources said.
The award ceremony will be held in New Delhi on April 21 'Civil Service Day'.
