PMK functionary killed, five arrested
Tirumalaivasan, PMK's Union Secretary in Kandamangalam, was murdered by some persons belonging to the youth wing of a little-known organisation in the afternoon, police said.
Five persons have been arrested in this connection, they said, adding that issues relating to sand quarrying in the area and political enmity were believed to be the reasons behind the incident.
