Official sources said here today that the decision to suspend Trivedi was taken yesterday.
The move comes soon after his arrest by the Special Task Force (STF) of MP police in the scam, which involved dummy candidates appearing for the examination.
Trivedi, who is an Assistant Professor at the Government MLB College here will be attached to the office of the Regional Additional Director of Education.
His deputation to the PEB was cancelled after the scam came to light and he was shifted back to MLB College.
According to police, Trivedi allegedly colluded with different sets of racketeers involved in the scam during his tenure as the Controller of Examinations.
Police arrested 20 persons, mostly from Uttar Pradesh, including the kingpin of the racket Dr Jagdish Singh Sagar, besides three MPPEB officials from Bhopal
The accused fleeced gullible students for securing admission in medical colleges across the state in connivance with the Board officials.
