Muzamil Afzal Rather alias Boya, Firdous Ahmad Rather, Bilal Ahmad Rather and Abdul Majeed Khan have been arrested in Bandipora district, a police spokesman said without giving details about when they were nabbed.
He claimed the four were planning to execute some terror acts in area and that arms and Ammunition have been recovered from them.
"Muzamil, Firdous and Bilal were hatching conspiracy to kill some prominent persons from their adjoining areas. For this purpose Bilal had arranged a pistol with ammunition and a hand grenade," he said.
Muzamil and Firdous were desperate to join militancy for last six months and ultimately received a weapon from Bilal, the spokesman said.
Bilal had obtained the weapon from Abdul Majeed Khan some six months ago, he added.
"In this regard, case FIR number 03/2016 under section 7/25 Illegal Arms Act and 120-B of RPC was registered at Police Station Pethkote and further investigation is going on," he said.
