Police arrests absconder in Poonch

Police today arrested a man who was absconding for the past more than seven years in connection with a case in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a sustained drive launched to nab the absconders, Poonch police today arrested Abdul Hamid from Shahpur in the district as he was involved in case of robbery, hurting people and causing a mischief in 2001 in Poonch, a police officer said.
The accused was evading his arrest since more than seven years, he said, adding that the arrest was made by Inspector Jatinder Raina.
