Kondhwa police laid a trap for the accused in the morning, arrested two persons and seized eight generators and three tempos worth Rs 50 lakh.
"We have registered a complaint of generator theft on October 17, 2014 and we were investigating the case. We got a tip-off that a tempo stolen a few months ago is parked near the Nagar Road. We laid a trap for accused and arrested Mahendra Ashok Bhoj (38) and his assistant, Rajendra Baburao Jawalkar (50) The accused admitted to the crime and with the help of information given by them, we recovered eight generators and three tempos," ACP Rajan Bhogale of Wanavadi section said.
"We are investigating other thefts and we will get more details," Bhogale said.
