Police assure Dera followers to arrest accused

Police today assured Dera Sacha Sauda followers that the "murderous attack" case in which one of its follower was shot at by three unidentified persons would be solved soon.
A large number of Dera followers this evening assembled here and demanded immediate arrest of accused who shot at Dera follower Gurdev Singh on June 13 at Jawahar Singh Wala village in which he was seriously injured.
DIG R S Khattra and SSP S S Mann rushed to Faridkot and assured Dera followers to solve the case at the earliest, police said.
They also appealed to the followers to maintain peace and calm, police said.

Dera followers also submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Faridkot M S Jaggi, demanding arrest of accused.
A Dera Sacha Sauda follower was seriously injured when three unidentified persons had opened fire at him at Jawahar Singh Wala village in this district.
The assailants came in a car and shot at Gurdev Singh (31), leaving him seriously injured.
