Police today busted an alleged prostitution racket at a residential colony in northwest Delhi's Sahipur village area by arresting two persons.
Five women aged between 20-30 years, who turned out to be residents of adjoining colonies were also rescued, police said.
The duo, identified as Harivinder alias Bittu (45) and Arvind (25), were allegedly operating a prostitution racket in a residential area of Sahipur village, near Azadpur Mandi, DCP (northwest) Vijay Singh said.
"Acting upon the complaint by residents that a prostitution racket was operating in their area, police laid a trap and sent a policeman disguised as a customer to the house from where the racket was operating," Singh said.
On receiving a signal from the decoy, the police conducted a raid and detained the accused along with three clients present there, police said.
Police have filed an FIR against Bittu and Arvind, and further investigations are on, police said.
