Police bust gang of gamblers, 5 arrested

With the arrest of five persons, police claim to have busted a gang of gamblers active in different parts of the district.
Around Rs 1,150 stake money and playing cards were seized from their possession, they said.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted raids in a gambling den in Loni area late last night and arrested all 5 accused identified as Sakil, Arshad, Mohammad Abbas, Nazar and Lala.
They are residents of Ghaziabad and aged between 25 and 32 years.
"We got information that some persons were gambling in Loni area near Shiv Temple late last night. A police team was sent there and all five gamblers were arrested," a police officer said.

The accused are being interrogated about their accomplices, who would also be arrested soon, officer added.
