Police bust vehicle-lifters' gang, arrest three

Three suspected members of an inter-state vehicle lifters' gang have been arrested from Loni area here, police said today.
The trio -- identified as Bittu, Shekher and Khemchand -- had been evading arrest for long, and were apprehended last night with six stolen bikes and three knives recovered from their possession, they said.
"We got information that four vehicle-lifters were coming to Loni area. We laid a trap and nabbed three. However, their accomplice Sabeer managed to flee," a police officer said.
The arrested, all hailing from Ghaziabad, are aged between 24 and 30 years. Several cases are pending against them at Indirapuram, Siyani Gate, Vijay Nagar police stations, the officer said.
