Rampal was produced before the court of Judicial Magistrate Prateek Jain here in connection with the case filed at Barwala police station on November 11.
Police have booked Rampal and some others under sections 343 (wrongfully confining a person for more than three or four days), 302 (Murder) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC.
The charge sheet was filed against Rampal of Satlok Ashram Barwala, Rajender, Mohinder Singh, Raj Kapoor and some other unnamed persons and its copy was handed over to the advocate of the accused.
The case was registered against them on a complaint of a Delhi resident, Shivpal.
Shivpal had alleged that his wife Sarita and other women Santosh, Malkiat Kaur Rajbala and a child Adarsh were killed by the "godman" and his aides on November 19, 2014.
Their bodies were recovered from the premises of Satlok Ashram by police.
A heavy police force was deployed outside the court premises to avoid any untoward incident. No followers of Rampal were allowed to enter the court premises.
