Police lathicharge to disperse clashing groups
Tension prevailed for some hours at Haransikar colony here today following the clash.
Superintendent of Police Rajappa told PTI that a petty quarrel between two families turned into a group clash and they started pelting stones at each other.
Later, they set fire to a haystack, he said, adding, police resorted to lathicharge to bring the situation under control.
Police personnel have been deployed to monitor the situation and a peace committee meeting was held to bring about rapprochement between the groups.
