SI Pradeep Yadav, a resident of Etawah district, took the extreme step at his residence in Hari Enclave locality, SP (City) Praveen Ranjan said.
He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared "brought dead" by the doctors, he said.
According to police, he was having some family problems.
